REGULATIONS

• Competitors must provide their own musical material, in MP3 format.
• Good quality recordings are to be sent to the Competition’s email address: music@sibiuballetprojects.eu 
• All files should be marked with the competitor’s name, category, and entry title.
• Competitors are advised to have a backup copy of their music MP3 files on a USB stick.

• Competitors should provide their own costumes, make-up, and hairpieces.

• The order of appearance is determined by the competition after the registration deadline, but no later than October 12th, 2024.
• All competitors must be present at the Awards Ceremony and Gala on October 20th, 2024.
• If a dancer is unable to perform due to an injury, he/she must provide the Competition’s organizers with a doctor’s statement.
• The competition takes place at the following theater address:

Centrul Cultural Ion Besoiu, str. Emil Cioran, nr 1-3, Sibiu, Romania.

• The theater stage dimensions are 12 meters x 10 meters.
• All competition performances are held before a public audience.

• Competitors will be judged by an International Jury based on a 100-point scoring system.
• Competitors will be judged based on artistic and technical skills.
• Male and female competitors will be judged together. In case six (6) or more Male Dancers participate in the Classical Solo or Contemporary Solo category, they will be judged and awarded separately.
• The Jury of SDC reserves the right to divide any award among several competitors, that will be based on the final scores. 
• The Jury of SDC reserves the right not to present or withhold any or all the announced awards.
• Decisions of the jury are final and without appeal.
• Scores are not provided at the end of the competition; all the scores are property of the Sibiu Dance Competition and will be archived for the record and judge’s reference.

• Contestants must check in at the Competition before three (3) hours in advance of their stage appearance, at the latest.
• Please make your travel plans accordingly.
• Travels to and from Sibiu, Romania, accommodations, and all the expenses, are the responsibility of the competitors.

• Competitors are responsible for securing their own medical and accidental insurance for the duration of the competition.
